Terms and Conditions

We don't want to bore you with our Terms and Conditions, but please acquaint yourself with these, as it may end up costing you time or money in long run, which is not what we want.

Please check your journey times for flights, trains, buses, etc to avoid issues with running late.

We are happy to arrange out of hours drop offs and pick ups at £75.  This must be arranged prior to your dog's holiday at QBK.

The Important Bit

Please take a few minutes to read our Terms and Conditions as we will ask you to sign our Booking In Form to confirm you have read our T&C's, when you bring your dog, for the start of their holiday at QBK. It helps us both if you have read and understood them beforehand...

Terms and Conditions at Quarrybrae Boarding Kennels known as “QBK” These are for the benefit of your pet and other guests, please read carefully. Guests are only accepted with up-to-date vaccination records. A copy of these must be lodged with QBK on, or before, arrival. All dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza, and must have had a booster injection within the previous twelve months.

We require the Kennel Cough vaccine. Your dog must have this at least 2 weeks prior to arrival at the kennels. If your dog isn't inoculated, the first time you use QBK we can still take your dog, but you'd need to have the KC vaccine done for your dogs to enjoy future holidays, at QBK.

QBK insurance covers injury that occurs directly at the premises. Veterinary fees incurred following accidental injury during the guest’s stay are up to a maximum of £1,500. The treatment period is covered by the insurance for no more than 30 days the accident happened. We must be notified within 48 hours of leaving QBK of any issues, as a result of the holiday at QBK.  The insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions. QBK will ask you to pay any veterinary costs incurred if it is determined that the illness was a longstanding condition or previously known, but not declared.

QBK takes every precaution to ensure the health, safety and happiness of its guests. QBK will take immediate action if a guest appears unwell either by consulting your own vets or if unavailable, we will speak with our own vets at Kingdom Vets.

QBK reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal that appears unwell without prior agreement of treatment or knowledge.

We are happy to administer to your pet medication as required, please supply adequate medication and clear written instructions will be required, written by the owner, at the time of the booking in process.

QBK reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal where it has a medical condition or behavioural issues that were NOT disclosed at the time of booking.

Every care will be taken for your pet but ultimately pets are boarded at the owners risk.

Costs/responsibilities for injuries resulting from pets sharing accommodation, at the owner’s request, will not be accepted by QBK or our insurers.

All bookings must be confirmed by telephone, messenger or email. All new clients may be asked to pay the full amount of the holiday at the time of booking.

We do not offer provisional bookings.

QBK understands that plans change and value your custom and ask that you notify them as soon as possible for the mutual benefit of all concerned.

Cancellation Policy

We would draw to your attention that, once we have accepted your booking, a contract exists between us.    If a cancellation is made 30 days prior to your dogs stay we will reimburse you the boarding fees paid, minus £50.

If you fail to arrive, or cancel without giving a minimum of 30 days notice, the boarding rate for the period booked will be due. We will pursue all clients that refuse to pay through the Small Claims Court.

Threatening behaviour will not be accepted and you will be asked to leave the premises.

If this happens, during a telephone call, the call will be terminated immediately.

In the event of a stay being cut short for any reason without providing 30 days notice, the full balance of the confirmed booking will still be due.

Payment must be received prior to any guest leaving the premises.

QBK accept cash, credit cards and bank transfers.

QBK reserve the right to hold the animal until full payment is received and the extra days will be chargeable at the double rate.

Should you be unable to collect your pet in person QBK must be notified in advance of the dogs departure.

Dogs may be dropped off and collected between our opening and closing times.

In the event of an animal not being collected or boarding fees not being paid within 7 days of the end of the agreed booking period QBK may dispose of the animal concerned after giving 14 days notice to the owner, or his representative, at their last known address.

All dogs must be fitted with a collar and ID tag in line with the legal requirements for dog ownership and these must be securely fastened.

QBK encourages our guests to bring their own bedding, toys and other comfort items, however, these are all left at your own risk. We cannot accommodate duvets as they are too large for our washing machine.

QBK encourages you to discuss and notify them of any problems or undesirable behaviour your pet may have due to previous experiences.

Any damage or extra cost incurred due to QBK not being aware of these will be charged accordingly. We do not accept animals with aggressive or destructive temperaments.

In cases where animals are left that prove to be aggressive towards other animals or staff, or destructive to our facilities, we will contact the owner to arrange their removal. All damages caused by an animal to any area will be chargeable to the animal’s owner.
